available internship / biweekly volunteer opportunities

Kinkatopia has available internship or reoccurring volunteer positions available. We are looking for responsible, dedicated individuals who are willing to do anything from clean cages to assist with administrative work.

Work includes, but is not limited to:

·         Cleaning cages and attending once monthly keeper evenings.

·         Assisting with food prep.

·         Socializing the kinkajous — most interactions will occur while the animals are in their cages.

·         Training the kinkajous — again, while they are in their cages.

·         Running errands (post office, dollar store, etc.) – gas will be reimbursed.

·         Help prepare mailings.

·         assiting with blogs and social media content.

·         Physical labor such as mulching and cage upkeep. (must be able to lift 25 lbs+)

·         Late nights and Saturdays, this is when most work takes place.

We can fulfill college internships and are willing to write recommendation letters at our discretion.

Kinkatopia Keeper Evening

VOLUNTEER! FREE FOOD! KINKAJOU INTERACTIONS!! Do I have your attention? Would you like to experience what it’s like to be a keeper of the Kinkatopia kinkajous? We are offering an evening of just that! Contact us for details or visit our Facebook events for details!  RSVP ONLY!

PLEASE NOTE, WE ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. KINKATOPIA IS PRIVATE. NO WALK-INS ALLOWED.

Each month, we will be accepting up to 3 volunteers to help us clean, feed, enrich, and socialize the kinkajous! You must be ready to put in hard work, followed by dinner, and kinkajou encounters. You’re welcome to all the selfies you can take!

More specifically, starting at 5pm, we will deep clean the indoor enclosures and maintenance the outdoor enclosures. Next is dinner, provided by Kinkatopia. Followed by food and enrichment prep for the animals and hands-on interactions. Kinkajous are nocturnal, so this is a night party!

We are located in West Boca. Please, review our website so you’re confident what you’re taking on. Participants must sign a waiver to interact with the kinkajous. Accountability is a MUST. Community service hours accepted.
