Established in March 2018, Kinkatopia is the world’s first and only exotic animal rescue organization that specifically focuses on captive kinkajous: as a sanctuary and a resource. This is a nocturnal facility, which operates 24/7 to care for an estimated 60+ animals living here including: kinkajous, cats, genets, tortoises, lizards, a rat, and a flying squirrel. All these creatures need proper food, enrichment, appropriate housing, medical care, socializing, etc.
Most of these animals are rescues and need extra TLC and patience. Additionally, kinkajous are very sensitive animals that require routine and vigilance, therefore it takes time and dedication to develop a relationship with these wonderful animals. I guarantee you will connect deeply and share relationships with them, should you commit to investing your heart and time into this mission.

We have taken all precautions to ensure safety and therefore, Kinkatopia is a hands-off facility. I will provide a kinkajou etiquette presentation, as well as a safety wavier during orientation.
